Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview

Avyon Consulting Group is hiring two Full Stack Engineers to join a small product team building defense technology solutions from the ground up. You'll work across frontend, backend, and systems-level code depending on what the mission needs. This isn't a role where you wait for tickets. You identify problems, build solutions, and ship.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain web applications and APIs for defense and government customers
• Work across the full stack including frontend interfaces, backend services, databases, and infrastructure
• Integrate with government systems, data feeds, and third-party services
• Participate in architecture and product decisions as a core team member
• Write clean, testable, production-ready code
• Move fast, wear multiple hats, and adapt to shifting priorities

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework (React, Vue, or Angular)
• Backend experience with Python, Node.js, Go, or Java
• Comfort with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), REST APIs, and cloud infrastructure
• Ability to work independently and figure things out without a playbook
• US Citizenship required
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization preferred
• Familiarity with government cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) preferred
